Enercon Services, Inc. was contacted to perform an Urban Transmission System Reconfiguration. ENERCON transmission engineering design teams utilized our depth of experience to evaluate multiple combinations of structure materials, environmental conditions, and construction methods to achieve the most economical design.
- Routing study of 3mi x 6mi corridor
- Rebuild of 1.04 miles of existing 69 kV circuit
- Rebuilt as double circuit, monopole structures utilizing back-to-back post insulators
- Transfer existing 1351 ACSR conductor and add a new parallel 1351 ACSR circuit with OPGW onto the structure configuration
- Rebuild of 1.65 of an additional 69 kV circuit
- Designed line split and double circuit loop
- Existing 636 ACR conductor transferred to new structures
- Installation of new 1351 AAC conductor and 3/8 EHS shield on new circuit
