Thanks for printing! Don't forget to come back to ENERCON for new articles and information.
ENERCON provides a broad range of services regarding site selection and site feasibility assessment for nuclear facilities. ENERCON is thoroughly knowledgable of requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) regarding consideration of reasonable alternatives to proposed major actions, including consideration of alternative sites as part of the environmental review. ENERCON applies a thorough and rigorous process for evaluating the business interests associated with a proposed project, critical design related issues such as seismic hazards, natural phenomena hazards, and population distributions, and environmental issues such as ecological issues and archeological/cultural resource issues. ENERCON applies a sophisticated, systematic methodology to identify potential sites and apply successively more rigorous screening criteria to select a preferred site.
ENERCON has completed numerous investigations of the feasibility of potential nuclear sites including evaluating seismic/geotechnical conditions, population distributions, water resources, and other key factors associated with site feasibility. ENERCON has conducted studies to evaluate soil and rock conditions at potential sites, to evaluate potential constructability issues, and to assess potential facility layout issues.
