Many sites that are undergoing decommissioning have areas outside buildings that may have been contaminated during incidental operating activities. Some older facilities may have disposed of radioactive material on the site before modern regulatory controls were in place. Some facilities have contaminated areas beneath the structures due to operation activities or emergency situations. All of these sites require remediation. ENERCON can provide the support to plan and implement the remediation of sites that may have been contaminated with either radiological or other hazardous material. Our personnel have been involved with the remediation of sites contaminated with fission products, transuranic material, natural occurring radioactive material, chemicals, hazardous metals, asbestos, and organics.
